Dr. Alexandra Dresel
Alexandra Dresel, M.D., is a board certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Dresel practices general surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. She is a clinical faculty member of the surgical residency training program affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center.
Dr. Dresel received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She was on the Dean’s list for three of her four years there. She earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. She completed her Internship and Residency in General Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Her honors include: Intern of the year, Five Star Spirit Award for Excellence in Patient Care and Outstanding Resident Research Award. She has published in several medical journals.
Dr. Dresel is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and Association of Women Surgeons. She serves on two executive committees of the Dallas County Medical Society.
Dr. Dresel was voted by her peers as one of D Magazine's top doctors in each of the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Dr. Dresel is fluent in Spanish.
